ONLINE ISLAMIC SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM

Join Other Kids to Learn Arabic, Quran & Islamic Studies

Next term: March 19 - June 25, 2023

Online Structured Sunday School Classes

With the COVID-19 pandemic still spreading around the world, many mosques have had to close or limit access to follow public health and social distancing guidelines. As a result, many educational programs including Sunday School programs have been paused or canceled. Studio Arabiya Institute is here to help.

We recognize the stress and worry this time and situation cause parents and families. With kids and teens stuck at home with limited to no Islamic education, we have set up an Islamic Sunday School program to fill the gap for those who depended on masjid programs.

Classes are organized in small age-based groups with a teacher - all online from the safety and comfort of your home. Each Sunday School class will cover subjects in Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies.

If you need any assistance during the enrollment process, our Live Student Support is here to help: just click on the live chat icon at the bottom right corner of the website or the upper left corner of the portal.

How the Sunday School Program Works

Studio Arabiya's semester-based Sunday School program fits perfectly into your weekend schedule with two hours of class time on Sundays that cover Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies subject material each week.  Courses are held through our online Learning Management System, where you will be able to clearly see the goals of the course, have your child attend their live classes, assess their progress through assignments and exams, and earn a certificate upon completing a course.

The Sunday School Program is our way of helping out parents who are looking for weekend classes for their children and want to ensure that they are getting the highest quality education in the fields of the Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and all aspects of learning Quran.  Teaching these subjects requires teachers who are dedicated and knowledeable and can make sure your children learn correctly.

Who is the Sunday School Program for?

The Sunday School Program is for any child or teen who needs a structured weekend course to learn Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies.  Classes are held every Sunday so you can easily incorporate them into your weekend schedule.

How does it work?

When the semester begins, you will have access to your course materials in your online portal account.  Parents: you will get access to each child's course, so you can monitor and review with them what they are learning.   Classes are every Sunday for 40 minutes each, back-to-back, with two five-minute breaks.  Your child will sign in to his account, access the class through their online calendar, and attend the sessions.

Classes use a mix of lecture-style learning and interactive learning, where students can interact with the teacher, answer questions, and more during the live sessions.  Teachers are available for questions outside of class time in the class discussion area and you can connect with other students in the class.

The teacher will assign homework each Sunday and the class will have exams and quizzes.  Your online portal account will also give you access to online learning materials, such as flashcards, listening practices, videos, and curriculum.

How do I enroll my Child?

You can easily enroll your child by making your parent account and adding your children's accounts in your portal. After adding your child, you may add the Sunday School course you wish to enroll in and select from the options of class levels available.

For the Arabic track, while some explanations for coursework and homework might be given in English especially in the Beginner and Elementary levels, our teachers use Arabic as the main language of instruction, relying on images and animations when needed to help your child learn and understand. For the Quran and Islamic Studies tracks, although key terms related to each subject will be given in Arabic, English will be the main medium of communication and Arabic terms will be translated or explained.

There are different Sunday School groups. How do I know which one to choose for my child?
